12-16 february 2007 — LFW @ The Metropolitan London Hotel The Metropolitan Hotel's capacity to attract passion, creativity and style continued with their latest exhibition held during London Fashion Week.
Giving designers the opportunity to showcase their latest collection — in a number of dedicated apartments and suites (at the newly refurbished hotel) — the Met (this season) took the decision to work in tandem with On|Off at the Royal Academy of Arts. The decision paid off as the collaboration offered designers, buyers and members of the press, an enhanced experience that not only eased their schedule but, gave everybody the opportunity to work more effectively. Combine this with the offer to use executive transport between The Metropolitan Hotel and On|Off (on a daily basis, at scheduled times) made the whole week more productive and a heck of lot easier to navigate around.
As for the labels on show, it was nice to see a heady mix of newcomers along with brands/designers that had shown before — all of which could be modelled by female greeters. Dimmer D'Vrsi was just one of the new labels that caught our eye along with Citrine by the Stone's innovative new collection that fits in perfectly with next seasons trends.
