Tuesday the 21st of January 2008 will mark the day luxury jeweller's Boucheron, began its year long celebrations to mark the company's 150th anniversary.
The unique gala evening, saw the preview of its ephemeral Collections Particulieres exhibition, set up in a private mansion in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, followed by an intimate dinner at the Petit Palais.
Boucheron revealed its latest masterpieces from the Enchanting Boucheron High Jewellery Collection, to an eclectic assortment of guests, heralding from the worlds of media, film, fashion design, the arts and literature.
Carine Roitfeld, Joshua Jackson, L’Wren Scott, Danielle Steel (to name a few), were given the opportunity to admire some of the most highly sought after contemporary art works, as well as unique creations from the House of Boucheron. Masterpieces by: Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Martial Raysse, Kristin Baker, Maurizio Cattelan, Richard Prince, Liza Lou, Paul Fryer and Rodolphe Von Gombergh; were exhibited alongside seven anniversary jewel sets, created by the jeweller.
World renowned chef Yannick Alleno (one of only a few chefs to have been granted 3 stars by the Michelin Guide Rouge for his gastronomic restaurant at the Hôtel Meurice), and Parisian florist Eric Chauvin; provided some of the ambience and unmistakable warmth for the evening.
The evening culminated with actress Emmanuelle Seigner — looking dazzling in a Stefano Pilati dress — singing "Happy Birthday Boucheron".
