"If music be the food of love play on,' wrote William Shakespeare in the first scene for his play Twelfth Night, an apt prose that can be applied to Cartier's third annual LOVEDAY celebration.
Hosted for the first time in Los Angeles, the intimate dinner and private cocktail reception was the setting for the launch of a new LOVECHARITY bracelet and accompanying ambassadors. As a global supporter of the arts, Cartier chose a music theme for this year's LOVE celebration, which was held on Thursday, the 19th of June 2008.
Since the Cartier bracelet was introduced more than 30 years ago, it has become one of the most coveted jewellery designs in the world and the ultimate symbol of love. Over the past two years, Cartier has donated more than $2.24 million to sixteen global charities from the sales of its bracelet, and due to the enormous success, this year Cartier will celebrate with a new bracelet.
The new bracelet features interlocking miniature bracelets in 18K white gold and 18K rose gold; both bracelets are graced with the word and set into a knotted silk cord available in various colours, with each cord designating support of a unique cause.

The Cartier bracelets, as well as additional new designs, will be available in Cartier’s 34 boutiques (in June) across the U.S. and Canada for $995 — $200 per bracelet will benefit corresponding charity.
On the 19th of June, 10 per cent of all sales from the entire collection will benefit the partnered organizations.
The company aims to exceed last year’s donations, as a number of new music ambassadors join the endeavour.
