IT'S MY PARTY . . . Sugar and spices with Vama @ Julien Macdonald's A/W 04 show
Vama, Zagat’s top rated Kings Road eatery and popular celebrity haunt, mixed haute cuisine with haute couture at London Fashion Week as the official caterers to Julien Macdonald’s celebrated Autumn/Winter 2004 show.
The renowned, exotic restaurant constantly seduces London’s glitterati with their authentic spices, aromatic flavours and refreshing approach to Indian fine dining. Vama, who has received numerous accolades from critics and celebrities alike, caught the talented eye of Julien Macdonald whose theme was superbly complimented by Vama’s exceptional delights.
This relationship sparked excitement at the show and proved you can be cutting edge on both the catwalk and in the kitchen. Vama’s food evokes a sense of style and sophistication proving that this is one restaurant that has electrified both the intricate worlds of fashion and food — all with a sense of their own unique style.
Andy Vama, head chef and co-owner of the restaurant expressed his delight at this collaboration: “The King’s Road in Chelsea has a certain, eclectic style which is exclusive and characteristic to its own unique culture. Vama’s defined cuisine and precise spicing reflects this attitude which prompted Julian to choose Vama to compliment his show at London Fashion Week.”
